Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know when it’s time to start care?

Use the ‘Is It Time?’ checklist. If you checked 3–4+ items or had a recent hospitalization, start with 6–10 hours/week and reassess in 30 days.

If you feel unsafe, we replace immediately. Otherwise, give it a few visits. Even experienced caregivers need time to learn your parents’ routines. If something isn’t working, tell us and we’ll coach them. If it’s still not a fit, we’ll swap.

Home care scales with hours. Many families start with targeted hours that cost less than moving right away; reassess quarterly.

Typically 3-4 hours per visit; policies vary. Short-visit programs may be available.

By needs, skills, schedule, and personality. Trial shifts with feedback in the first week help fine-tune.
