I was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, where I grew up with a strong emphasis on family, faith, compassion, and taking care of one another. Some of my earliest and most meaningful experiences came from helping my grandparents with their daily chores and activities.
In 1986, my immediate family and my remaining grandmother relocated to Texas. My grandmother became an important part of our household and remained with us until her care needs eventually exceeded what our family could provide. She then transitioned to a nursing home, where she remained until her passing.
Looking back, I strongly believe that being able to live in our home, surrounded by family and included in our everyday activities, contributed greatly to her health, happiness, and quality of life. That experience has stayed with me and has become an important part of my philosophy about caring for seniors.
My faith in God has also played an important role in shaping who I am and how I approach life. I believe that we are called to serve others, treat people with dignity and kindness, and use the gifts and abilities God has given us to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
I began my professional career in Michigan in the real estate industry, working as a real estate agent and office manager. In the late 1980s, I transitioned into the corporate world, where I spent more than 35 years in leadership and senior management positions.
Throughout my career, I have focused on building strong teams, developing people, creating supportive work environments, and ensuring that clients and customers receive exceptional service. I am especially proud of the professional growth and success of the teams I had the opportunity to lead.
In June 2024, I made the decision to leave the corporate world and pursue something more personally meaningful—an opportunity to use my experience, leadership skills, and God-given abilities to serve others and give back to the community.
That decision ultimately led me to senior home care.
Today, I view this work as more than a business. I believe it is an opportunity to serve God by serving others. My goal is to help seniors remain safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible while providing the companionship, dignity, respect, and personal attention they deserve.
I want our clients and their families to know that they are not simply a number or a name on a schedule. They are people who deserve to be treated with compassion, patience, respect, and genuine care. I want our caregivers to understand that the work they do matters and that caring for another person is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
My hope is that through our work, our actions will reflect our faith and demonstrate the values that are important to us: faith, family, compassion, integrity, service, and treating others as we would want to be treated.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, fishing, motorsports, and spending time outdoors. I am also currently exploring two new interests—golf and pickleball.
For me, senior care is more than a business. It is a calling and an opportunity to serve God by serving seniors and their families. I am grateful for the opportunity to use the experience God has given me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
I am originally from Arlington, Texas, and have spent much of my professional career in the corporate sector. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Family, faith, and serving others have always been important parts of my life. My personal experiences caring for loved ones have played a significant role in shaping my passion for senior care and our desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
After several years of planning for our future, my husband, Mike, and I discovered Options Home Care. As we learned more about the organization and its mission, we quickly realized that this was an opportunity that aligned with both our personal experiences and our desire to serve others.
My grandmother lived with my family during the final seven years of her life. Having the opportunity to have her at home and be part of our family life was incredibly meaningful to me. At the same time, I often wondered how much her quality of life could have been enhanced with the right in-home support and assistance.
I experienced something similar with my mother, who struggled with macular degeneration and the challenges that naturally come with aging. Remaining in her own home became increasingly difficult, while accepting help from others was also challenging. Looking back, I recognize that the right kind of compassionate, dependable in-home care could have made a tremendous difference for her and for our entire family.
These experiences gave us a very personal understanding of what seniors and their families face. They also helped us recognize how valuable quality in-home care can be—not only for the person receiving care, but for the entire family.
My faith in God has strengthened my desire to use the gifts and experiences I have been given to serve others. I believe that caring for people with compassion, dignity, patience, and respect is one of the ways we can put our faith into action.

For Mike and me, this is about much more than building a business. It is about serving God by serving others, honoring the lessons our families have taught us, and using our experiences to help make the aging journey a little easier for seniors and the people who love them.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing cards and dominoes, working on puzzles, listening to music, quilting, watching movies, attending concerts, and traveling in our RV. I especially enjoy visiting my niece and her family in Amarillo and spending time with our four young adults and our first grandchild, who was born in June 2023.
